Doug Brines

Bio:

Doug Brines grew up in the Mad River Valley in Vermont and attended Holderness School in Plymouth, New Hampshire, before studying journalism at the University of Colorado Boulder. After college, Doug made his way to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where he taught skiing and worked as an editor for the local daily newspaper. Next, he landed a position with the Spence Law Firm, which is led by world-famous attorney, Gerry Spence. Doug’s work at Spence providing support to a team representing uranium miners and their families against major mining corporations inspired him to become an attorney and an advocate for worthy causes. After migrating back East, Doug worked as a litigation paralegal for a major Vermont law firm before attending Vermont Law School and graduating in the class of 2011. Following graduation, Doug worked as a staff attorney for Disability Rights Vermont, a federally-funded organization mandated to protect the rights of individuals with disabilities and mental illness. He then ran his own law practice, where he obtained a broad range of legal experience providing personalized, attentive service to his clients. Doug’s current practice focuses primarily on real estate transactions and estate planning.
